Privacy Policy

Overview

This site (mantassimonis.dev) is Mantas Šimonis's personal portfolio. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit, how it's used, and who it's shared with. There is no advertising, no analytics tracking, and no sale of data – this is a small personal site, not a business collecting data at scale.

Data from the contact form

If you fill in the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are sent to Mantas's inbox via Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service. That data is used only to reply to you, and isn't used for marketing or shared with anyone else.

The AI assistant (terminal)

• ▸Local mode (default): your question is matched against a pre-written knowledge base entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
• ▸Live mode (opt-in, if enabled): your typed question is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a live answer. If the live assistant is running on Mantas's own server, that question also passes through his backend on the way to Anthropic. Questions aren't stored beyond what's needed to generate the reply.

Local preferences

Your theme (dark/light) and language (EN/LT) choices are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist on return visits. This stays on your device – it's never transmitted to any server and contains no personal information.

Third-party services

• ▸Google Fonts – loads typefaces from Google's servers.
• ▸Web3Forms – delivers contact-form submissions by email.
• ▸Anthropic API – powers the AI assistant's live mode, if enabled.

Cookies & tracking

This site doesn't use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels. The only browser storage used is local storage for your theme/language preference, described above.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data you've submitted (e.g. via the contact form). To exercise these, email the address below.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to the site. The date at the top will always show the latest revision.
